My DJ thing started many years ago, and I have DJ'd events from small church hall do’s to weekly hotel functions, engagements to weddings, house parties, garden parties, 30th, 40th, 50th birthdays and even retirement parties. I have DJ’d numerous functions such as Spring/Summer/Christmas balls and many of Guernsey's larger events which may have up to 700 people attending.
 
I don’t find it necessary to talk too much over tunes.  I don’t believe you need someone telling you the name of each song as it interrupts the party flow.  I’ll happily speak over the mic when it’s necessary, no problem, but only if it’s required or needed.  What I will do is play quality tunes all night, without overpowering you with unnecessary chat.

Being in the local soul/funk band ‘Top Banana’ for six years, which was mainly a function type band, taught me a great deal about what’s involved and how to put on and run a top function/party.  It has snowballed since then for me really.

In November 2006 I decided to go public with ‘Cuths DJ Services’ and turn my hobby into an earner.

And so begins the next chapter in my musical life.
